The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) have launched a service which enables families to access a Family Support Worker for individual information and support, all for the cost of a local call.
The CBF focuses on helping family carers of individuals with severe learning disabilities, ie. no speech or limited communication, who require support with daily living skills such as dressing and eating, and who exhibit challenging behaviour. By challenging behaviour they mean that which prevents the use of community facilities or an ordinary home life.
