On Sunday 1 November a small group of RTS families from the south-east of England met at the PARC Essex Play Centre for a 'mini get together'. We hadn't used the centre before, but it proved to be a fantastic facility, offering a soft play area, outdoor play area, and a sensory room for children with special needs. We took over the centre from 2 until 4, and all of the children seemed to enjoy themselves (including older siblings) while the adults had a chance to chat over numerous cups of tea and biscuits. Many thanks to all who came to join us, to Gill Hart for organising it, and special thanks to Pauline Werrell who came in her capacity as tea-maker-in-chief. We hope to be able to organise another of these events in the not-too-distant future.
